01
Fastest option
If you can access your Muzluk account, open Settings, go to Privacy & data, and use Delete account. This removes the Muzluk account data tied to that signed-in account from our backend systems, subject to limited legal, security, and operational exceptions.
02
Email deletion request
If you cannot access the app, or if you used Muzluk only through WhatsApp, email hello@muzluk.com with the subject Muzluk data deletion request.
- For an app account, email us from the email address associated with the account if possible.
- For WhatsApp-only use, include the phone number you used to message Muzluk, including the country code.
- If you are requesting deletion of both an app account and WhatsApp-linked anonymous data, say that clearly in the request.
- Do not send passwords, one-time codes, government documents, or sensitive screenshots unless we specifically ask for extra verification.
03
What we delete
- Entries, notes, todos, plans, feed cards, goals, memories, scores, badges, profile data, and related generated records tied to the Muzluk user id.
- WhatsApp channel identity records, inbound message logs, outbound reply logs, pending question sessions, provider message ids, and WhatsApp-linked anonymous user data where we can verify the request and the WhatsApp identity is not already claimed by a Muzluk app account.
- Uploaded voice recordings, study-note images, and other stored files tied to the deleted account where technically available.
- Authentication records, sessions, verification records, and account metadata controlled by Muzluk.
- Operational records that are no longer needed for legal, fraud-prevention, security, billing, debugging, or compliance purposes.
04
What we cannot delete
Deleting Muzluk data does not delete data controlled by Meta, WhatsApp, Google, Apple, your email provider, your phone carrier, payment providers, app stores, or any other external service. You must manage those accounts directly with those providers.
We may keep limited pseudonymous compliance audit records, without raw submitted content, for up to 24 months if required for security, legal compliance, dispute resolution, abuse prevention, or to prove that a deletion request was handled.
Deletion requests do not require Muzluk to destroy records that we are legally required or reasonably permitted to preserve, restrict, disclose, or report because of illegal content, child safety issues, credible threats, fraud, abuse, security incidents, legal process, regulatory obligations, or disputes.
Where possible, we narrow any preserved material to what is necessary for the legal, safety, security, or compliance purpose instead of keeping ordinary product history.
05
Verification
We need to verify that the requester controls the account, email address, phone number, or WhatsApp identity before deleting data. The verification method depends on the data involved and the risk of deleting the wrong person's data.
For WhatsApp-only deletion, we may ask you to send a fresh message from the same WhatsApp number or confirm a code so we can connect the deletion request to the correct anonymous channel identity.
06
Timing
After we verify a deletion request, Muzluk aims to remove Muzluk-controlled active product data as soon as reasonably possible and within 30 days, unless a shorter period is required by law or a limited exception applies.
Complex requests, identity verification issues, backups, provider delays, legal holds, security reviews, safety reviews, or abuse investigations may take longer.
Backups, provider logs, fraud-prevention records, security records, narrow pseudonymous audit records, and legally preserved records may expire or be overwritten according to their separate retention schedules.
07
Legal and safety holds
Muzluk does not keep deleted user content just because it might someday be useful. If there is no active legal, safety, security, abuse, fraud, regulatory, or dispute reason to preserve a record, the ordinary deletion process should apply.
If a request involves illegal content, child safety issues, credible threats, fraud, abuse, security incidents, legal process, regulatory obligations, or a real dispute, we may place a narrow hold on the minimum information reasonably needed for that purpose.
A hold may include relevant content, timestamps, account or channel identifiers, request history, security events, and provider metadata where necessary. It should not preserve unrelated ordinary product history.
08
After deletion
After deletion, the affected Muzluk account or WhatsApp-linked history may no longer be recoverable. If you message Muzluk on WhatsApp again after deletion, a new anonymous identity may be created unless you have connected a verified Muzluk account.
09
Meta app data deletion
This page is the data deletion instructions URL for Muzluk's Meta and WhatsApp integrations. It explains how users can request deletion of data Muzluk receives from Meta-delivered WhatsApp webhooks and related Muzluk account data.
